The Waimea Town Market located at Parker School will reopen Saturday, September 18 with new safety measures and guidelines for visitors and vendors. 

“We take our community responsibility seriously and want to ensure the safety of visitors to our campus, “ says Stephen Dunn, Parker’s head of school. The Market was temporarily closed due to the surge in COVID-19 cases on Hawaii Island.

Dunn continues, “We know the Waimea Town Market is a destination for residents and visitors alike, in this spirit we worked together with Market management and vendors to reopen the Market in the safest way possible.” 

All visitors and vendors must follow the following new safety guidelines: 

  • People must wear a face mask at all times
  • Picnic tables and campus seating have been removed to limit congregating
  • All food and drinks must be packaged in to-go containers, eating and drinking at the Market is prohibited
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at each vendor’s booth
  • No live music
  • Signage requiring face masks in order to be served will be posted.

The Waimea Town Market is open 7:30 a.m. to noon every Saturday at Parker School. The market is operated by Waimea Town Market LLC which rents space from the school.
