Former Honolulu County Councilman and Lt. Governor Candidate for Hawaii Ikaika Anderson released the following statement about campaign signs being vandalized.

A resident recently informed me that a hateful symbol was scrawled on one of my campaign banners. Graffiti and vandalism aside, the symbol that was used is offensive and very hurtful to the Jewish community. I took this opportunity to turn it into a lesson for my family, in explaining to my children that symbols like this are hateful, offensive, and just plain mean. In Hawaiʻi, we need to show aloha to each other, not hate.” – Ikaika Anderson.
