This is a High Surf Advisory message for Sunday February 27, at 8 in the morning.
The National Weather Service has downgraded the High Surf Warning and issued a High Surf Advisory for the west facing shorelines of Hawaii Island to include the areas from North Kohala to South Kona through Sunday.
Kahalu`u Beach Park remains closed due to impacts from the surf. Other beaches may close without notice.
A High Surf Advisory means strong breaking waves and strong currents make swimming dangerous.
Heed all advice from ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
