Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo – a DoubleTree by Hilton invites Merrie Monarch enthusiasts, the local Hilo community, and fans of hula and Hawaiian music to experience an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime performance by acclaimed Hawaiian singer Amy Hānaialiʻi on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:30 pm in the hotel’s Crown Room.

During the concert, in observance of the 60th anniversary of Hilo’s celebrated Merrie Monarch Festival, Hānaialiʻi will perform a special rendition of her melody “Pālehua”, newly re-recorded to honor the 25th anniversary of one of Hawaii’s most beloved songs. One of Hawaii’s top selling female vocalists, Amy Hānaialiʻi is known for her unmatched vocal range, engaging performances, charm, and infectious personality. She recently added a new verse to “Pālehua” and concert goers will hear the newly revamped version live for the first time. A top selling female vocalist in Hawaiʻi, Amy Hānaialiʻi is a respected songwriter with a vocal power fusing classical training with Hawaiian heritage and ancestral responsibility, punctuated with her signature haʻi (Hawaiian falsetto). Her talents are recognized in multiple honors including six Grammy nominations and 18 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards. The special event marks the official launch of a week of Merrie Monarch festivities taking place at Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo from Monday, April 10 to Saturday, April 15.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and the show takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., featuring a variety of entertainment including local hula professionals and more. General admission tickets are priced at $69 per person for adults and children. Elevated VIP Booths are available for $450 (4 person maximum) per table, and elevated special section tables of four are priced at $400. Limited elevated tables of two are available, priced at $200. Tickets include show access and seating, and two beverages per person in party, including Amy Hānaialiʻi wine (red or white), beer, and soft drinks. All prices include taxes and ticketing fees.
