Hawaii News Now reports that the Hilo Sears store at the Prince Kuhio Plaza is one of two Sears closing in Hawaii in 2021.
“There was no immediate timeline on when the Sears stores at Pearlridge Center and in Hilo will close. Both stores are hiring temporary workers as they prepare for liquidation.”
The stores began liquidation sales yesterday and will conclude on Sunday, April 18th, 2021, according to TheLayOff.Com a website devoted to tracking store closures.
Sears stopped issuing official store closure announcements two years ago.
