UPDATE 2: Hawai‘i Island police report that two east Hawai‘i teen girls, who were previously reported as runaways, were located in Hilo on Thursday, January 13, 2022 after each turned themselves in to authorities. Both teens were found in good health. Sixteen-year-old Precious Anderson turned herself in at 10:20 a.m. (Case No. 22-003769), while 14-year-old Kayzlyn Grammer turned herself in at 11:10 a.m. (Report No. 22-003755).

UPDATE: Social media posts have reported that she has been located and is safe at home.

ORIGINAL POST: Hawaii Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Precious Anderson, who was reported as a runaway.

Anderson was last seen at a school in the Downtown Hilo area on January 12, 2022, at approximately 7:30 a.m., wearing a black t-shirt, American Eagle brand white pants, a gold rope chain with a pendant which reads “Kuuipo,” and unknown shoes.

She is described as being 5 feet 1 inches tall, 100 pounds, with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes. Anderson has no distinguishing scars, marks, or tattoos.

Police ask anyone who may have any information on the whereabouts of Anderson to contact the Hawaii Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311
