Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Shayla-Rae Pomroy of Hilo, who was reported as a runaway.

Pomroy was last seen in the area of the 1700 block of Kino’ole Street, on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at 3:55 a.m. wearing a maroon sweatshirt, black shorts, and white sandals.

She is described as having fair skin, being 5-feet 6-inches tall, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
