As a friendly reminder, the construction of the Ainaloa roundabout is scheduled to continue until January 2020. Accessibility of Hele-On buses to Ainaloa Blvd may change daily and/or hourly. To maintain route efficiency, there will continue to be NO pick-up in the Ainaloa Subdivision until construction is completed.
Suggested flag stops during this time period are roadside on Highway 130 as follows:
Toward KEAAU/HILO: Roadside (Keaau side) of Makuu Drive at the 55 mph sign & fire hydrant.
Toward PAHOA/NANAWALE/KALAPANA: Roadside at Ilima St.
Riders may be able to be dropped off at the Ainaloa Longhouse, if the area is accessible at that time of the request. Please be sure to notify the driver when ascending the bus for the current accessibility status.
