The Grand Naniloa Hotel, invites Island residents to join hotel guests in celebrating the birth of American independence with a Fourth of July celebration on July 4, 2023 from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. In addition to front row seats to Hilo Bay’s popular fireworks display, attendees will enjoy an afternoon of traditional barbecue, lawn games and local DJ entertainment.
Staycationers can enjoy a sundrenched day on Hilo Bay, quenching their thirst, and filling their ʻōpū with an all-American menu curated by the hotel’s culinary team and served on the Makaʻokū lawn. Selections for purchase include freshly grilled Hot Dogs and Hamburgers with all the fixings, as well as Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches, all served with assorted chips and ice cold Bradda pops. Food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase. The hotel will feature keiki-friendly face painting and the competitive set can flex their talents at the jumbo Connect Four game, and an inflatable Soccer Dart game presented on the lawn. DJ entertainment will be provided by Island favorite Patrick Cabuyadao, also known as “DJPa3CO”, who will spin his unique mix of today’s pop favorites all day and into the evening. The day concludes on the lawn on Waiākea Peninsula, which offers an unparalleled view of Hilo Bay’s spectacular fireworks display, scheduled at 8 p.m.
For the safety and security of hotel guests and the community Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo does not allow outside food, beverage, canopies or tents, coolers, or beach umbrellas on property. A designated public entrance to the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo property will be clearly marked and complimentary public parking is available at the Grand Naniloa Golf Course. Valet parking is reserved for hotel guests. The event is open to all ages, and there is no cover charge to attend.
