Henderson Design Group, one of Hawaii’s premier interior design firms founded nearly 20 years ago, today names Jerry Adam Guzmán as its new President. In his role, Guzmán will oversee organizational strategy and development, brand experience and management of the firm’s team with offices based in Hawaii and California.

Eric Henderson, who founded the firm in 2002 and serves as the Chief Executive Officer, will co-lead the organization with Guzmán while staying focused on overall business strategy, client relations, design development and creative direction.

“Since Jerry joined our team five years ago, he brought with him a distinctive vision that attributed to the success of our company over the past few years,” said Henderson. “We look forward to him leading our team to continued success as visual storytellers and experience-makers.”

Guzmán brings more than 15 years of design and creative experience to Henderson Design Group. Prior to his appointment as President, he served as Director of Design & Special Projects, where he oversaw the redesign of the newly branded Kaimana Beach Hotel. Before joining the firm five years ago, he held various design leadership positions at Jon Brent Design and his firm Jerry Adam Guzmán Studio. His background also includes key leadership positions in the non-profit sector, as well as Executive Director of the Historic Barrio District CDC and Associate Director of Community & Economic Development at the Sherman Heights Community Center, located in San Diego.

Guzmán earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Environmental and Interior Design from Chaminade University. He also studied design at the prestigious ArtCenter College of Design.

In addition to Kaimana Beach Hotel, Henderson Design Group’s extensive Hawaii portfolio includes luxury residences at Hualalai Resort, Kapalua Resort, Kukio Golf & Beach Club, Park Lane Ala Moana and Ward Village.
