Events International, a leader in event production and support in Hawai’i for over 30 years, has opened an office in Waikoloa on Hawai’i Island. The company is now offering the same range of professional event services to the Island of Hawai’i as it does from its headquarters in Honolulu.
Crystal Evans is now the Events International Hawaii Island Office General Manager after recently relocating to Kona. She owned and operated Hiking Hawai’i Café in Waikiki and the companion Hiking Hawai’i tour business. Prior to that she worked for Events International as the General Manager of The Waterfront at Aloha Tower Marketplace. She brings 20 years of additional experience in the event, hotel, and hospitality business with her.
“I’m excited to be able to bring the high level of service that Events International has built a reputation for to the Island of Hawai’i,” said Evans. “We are committed to deliver the same can do spirit and customer service oriented team here on the Big Island that the company has been known for.”
Events International services most of the Hawai’i’s destination management companies providing a full suite of event services including event production, catering, theme and décor, entertainment, staffing, and more. On Hawai’i Island the company will continue to service the convention, meetings and incentive business and intends to also provide service to other entities such as private parties, weddings, local festivals, and other events as it does on Oahu.
“Last year we were tapped by a number of our clients to service events along the Kona Coast,” said Rick Schneider, Events International’s President and CEO. “It became evident that there was a need for our services here since a prime provider of those services had recently closed up shop. It was serendipity that Crystal had recently moved to Kona and was willing to re-up with us.
