Structure Fire

The Hawaii Fire Department and the Hawaii Police Department responded to a structure fire on Hanale Drive in the Ainaloa Subdivision on Friday, Jan. 30 at 6:32 p.m.. Upon arrival, they found a 30′ by 40′ single story wood structure about 25% on fire.

No occupants were home at the time of the fire. The fire was extinguished and overhaul completed. Three family dogs were located during the overhaul that were overwhelmed during the fire and found deceased.

The scene was turned over to HPD and HFD Inspectors with all other HFD units returned to quarters.

The fire did $250,000 in damage and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
