The Hawaii Fire Department responded to a single family residential structure that was on fire on Pohai Street in Hilo at 7:03 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021.
Upon investigation, a propane tank supplying a instant hot water heater ignited in the garage.
Two patients were transported to Hilo Medical Center in stable condition. The investigation is being handled by the Hawaii Police Department.
