This is a COVID-19 informational update for Monday, August 2nd.

For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 76 new Coronavirus cases and is currently monitoring 685 active cases with 16 persons hospitalized.

On testing, the next scheduled test and vaccination clinic will be on Tuesday when three test will be offered; in North Kona at the Kona Aquatics Park from 3 to 6 in the afternoon, and two clinics in Puna at the Cooper Center in Volcano from 9 to 12 in the morning and at J Hara Store in Kurtistown from 2 until 6 in the afternoon.

The Department of Health, clinics, and pharmacies offer Coronavirus vaccinations on a regularly basis.  By getting vaccinated you are helping to keep your family and friends safe.  For information you can also visit the Civil Defense website for a list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccinations and testing.
