UPDATE: Hawai‘i Island police report that 13-year-old Daniel Soares of Mountain View, who had previously been reported as a runaway, was located in Hilo in good health.
ORIGINAL POST: Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Daniel Soares of Mountain View, who was reported as a runaway.
Soares was last seen on Thursday afternoon, February 25, 2021, in the Fern Acres subdivision in Mountain View. He is described as being 5’-4” tall, 100 – 120 pounds, with reddish brown hair and brown eyes. Soares was last observed wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and unknown colored shorts.
Police ask anyone with information on Soares’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
