The University of Hawaiʻi is offering free COVID-19 vaccination clinics at three of its campuses in the month of August: Tuesday, August 17 at UH Mānoa, Thursday, August 19 at UH Hilo and Monday, August 23 at UH West Oʻahu. All UH students and employees must complete a vaccine consent form, bring a government issued photo ID and follow UH COVID-19 guidelines, including clearance by the LumiSight UH health check app prior to coming to campus and wearing face masks at all times while indoors.

The August 17 walk-in vaccination clinic at UH Mānoa is open to all UH Mānoa students and employees. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Campus Center Dining Room. The second dose will be administered three weeks later.

The August 19 UH Hilo vaccination clinic is for students only, and participants are asked to pre-register online. The clinic will be in Hale Kehau residence hall lounge from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The August 23 mobile vaccination clinic at UH West Oʻahu is open to students, employees and the general public. The mobile clinic will be parked on the Waiʻanae side of the campus expansion parking lot and will open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants can walk in with no appointment or pre-register online. The second dose is scheduled for September 13 at the same location. People will be able to get their first dose on that day and location as well. The second dose for that group is scheduled for October 4. The public does not need to use the LumiSight UH app for the UH West Oʻahu mobile clinic.

UH launched its “Get Vaccinated UH!” campaign on March 5, encouraging students, faculty and staff to get a COVID-19 vaccine. The university added COVID-19 vaccination to its student health clearance requirements on May 17. For the fall semester, unvaccinated students are required to submit a negative COVID-19 test each week if they plan to be on a UH campus. The details of the free student COVID-19 testing program will be announced next week.

According to surveys from June, more than 92% of UH students and 95% of UH employees of the 10-campus system have been vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus or plan to be.
