The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory that is in effect until 11 p.m. for the Island of Hawaii.

At 7:59 p.m., radar indicated heavy rain over leeward portions of the Big Island between Captain Cook and Waikoloa 
Village. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 3 inches per hour. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include… Kailua-Kona, Kalaoa, Holualoa, Honalo, Kahaluu-Keauhou, Kona 
International Airport, Waikoloa Beach and Mauna Lani.
