Join the movement to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Be a part of the celebration on Saturday July 15th at Dr. Francis Wong Stadium in Hilo for the 31st Relay For Life of the Big Island. Opening ceremonies begin at 5 p.m. and the Relay ends at midnight.

This family-friendly event has proven time and time again the value and power behind our Hawaii
Island community in celebrating our survivors and honoring those we have lost to cancer. Funds raised
before, during, and after the Relay contribute to the American Cancer Society’s commitment to cancer
research, legislative advocacy, and patient support.

The Relay will be celebrating their 31st with a “Seussical” theme– Hats Off To Hope; Cancer: Not Here,
Not There, Not Anywhere!

With more than 60 teams registered, there are lots of games and goods to experience, all in the effort to raise money to end all cancers and save all lives.

Entertainment and activities courtesy of our Entertainment Sponsor KWXX and B97 include a dunk tank, mini golf, jail, axe throwing, a zumbathon, performances by Puna Taiko Hilo High School band and more.

The centerpiece of Relay happens at 9 p.m. with a Luminaria Ceremony. Luminaria bags can be
purchased and decorated that night or in a pre-sale effort at any branch of Hawaii Community Federal
Credit Union, our Luminaria Sponsor.
